Trimithousa This was a challenging project for several reasons: Mr. S. had very clear ideas as to the house design he wanted, and had prepared quite a detailed sketch plan. The clients also wanted to be in Droushia, where it is very difficult to find plots at a reasonable price, and the budget was quite tight.

However, we got to work with our local contacts, and came up with a 900m2 plot at the right price on the eastern side of the village. We sent full details to Mr. S., including a series of panoramic digital photos by email so that he could see a full 360 degree view from the plot.

We then sat down with the architect and developed Mr. S's basic design into full architectural plans. We costed this out to give an inclusive design and build' price, along with a 'shopping list' of optional extras such as shutters, additional paving, cornices etc.

All of this took place between David Newton and Mr. S. in Portugal - the client had no need to travel to Cyprus until all the preparations had been made. When Mr. & Mrs. S. arrived in Cyprus, it was just a question of fine tuning the plans, deciding on the exact positioning of the house on the plot, and finalising the contract.

The result is a very distinctive and unique villa in this popular traditional hill village.
