| Mr. & Mrs. M. had quite specific requirements in terms of the plot they wanted, as Mrs. M. has mobility problems and needed level access to a plot so that she could enjoy a gentle walk in the vicinity of the house without any steep slopes. However, they also wanted a panoramic view, and this normally means a plot in an elevated position, hence quite a steep approach. The clients also wanted to be fairly close to local services, and a lot of plots with the best views tend to be somewhat isolated.
The actual location, however, was not of paramount importance, and we were given the region stretching from Paphos to Polis as our search area.
Undaunted by this, David Newton got to work with several of our recommended developers who specialise in individual plots, and we managed to come up with a choice of six 'possibles'.
When Mr. & Mrs. M. arrived on the island, David personally escorted them on a tour of all the plots, following each site visit with a meeting with the respective architect. Mr. & Mrs. M. needed a four bedroom property with one en suite bedroom on the ground floor, and en suite bathrooms in all the other bedrooms due to frequent family visits.
All plots had their pros and cons, but the clients were pleased to find that all of them were suitable in their own way. After several days we narrowed it down to two, one at Kathikas and the other at Trimithousa. Luckily, both were owned by the same developer, so we got down to working on the house design whilst Mr. & Mrs. M. deliberated. Finally, they chose Trimithousa because of its proximity to Paphos, whilst at the same time having a spectacular view of the coast.
The result is a stunning 'rustic' design in stone and plaster with large terraces leading off the bedrooms.
